The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers PC Game is an action-adventure game based on the 2001 film, the second part of the epic trilogy. Players can choose to experience either Shelob's Lair or Bag-End. The game was developed by Sierra Entertainment and published by Vivendi Universal Games. You will find yourself serving as Aragorn, Gimli or Legolas in their quest to defeat Saruman and stop him from reaching his goals. This classic will have you running through snowy mountains with your bow drawn, hunting down orcs with your sword, finding yourself in a frenzy of battle against Uruk-Hai that are both numerous and powerful too much for just one character to deal with. Each of the characters can be used in conjunction with the others to bring the story to it's climax. The game received "generally favorable reviews" on all platforms according to video game review aggregator Metacritic.PCZone gave this game a score of 7 out of 10, stating "The action is fast and furious, with a lot going on around you at any given time. Be prepared for some hectic battles that require a lot of quick reflexes." IGN scored the PC version of the game a 9.0 out of 10, saying "It's a beautiful, craftsmanlike re-creation that holds up well against most other games in its genre. For anyone who likes the movies, this is a must-have." GameSpot scored the Nintendo GameCube version of the game a 9.0 out of 10, saying "Between its tremendous gameplay and immersive world design, The Two Towers for GameCube pulls you in and won't let you go until the credits roll." IGN gave the PlayStation 2 version an 8.5 out of 10, stating ""The Two Towers for PS2 is also very strong considering that it was made with such technical limitations.
